Dermalogica PreCleanse is the first part of Dermalogica’s two phase cleansing process. It is used to help to lift and dissolve all oil-based make-up, sebum, sunscreens and environmental pollutants to prepare the skin for a thorough cleansing using one of Dermalogica’s recommended cleansers.
How do I use PreCleanse?
Firstly, shake the bottle well and then pour a small amount of the product onto damp cotton wool to remove any eye and lip make-up that you may have been wearing. Next, pour a small amount of the product into the palms of your hand and work the product on to your face and neck. Start at the neck and using a light, upward circular motion work your way up to your chin and cheeks before finishing at the forehead. Be careful to spend time working on the areas of your face that you find suffer from congestion.
Next, wet your hand and repeat the above steps to create a milky emulsion on the face. Lastly rinse your face and neck thoroughly before moving on to the second part of the Dermalogica cleansing process i.e. cleansing the face thoroughly with a recommended Dermalogica cleanser.
What are the benefits?
PreCleanse is made up of a fabulous combination of Olive and Apricot Kernel-based cleansing oil, along with Kukui Nut, Borage Seed and Rice Bran oils which all combine together to lift all of the oil based waste from the skin. The formula works well to remove the debris without stripping the skin of its natural oils and most importantly does not leave the pores clogged up. The skin is left feeling relaxed, soft and nourished.
