WEEE - Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006
The Government has launched a NEW regulation in the form of the WEEE Regulation. This initiative was launched to
help minimise the effects of WEEE on the environment by encouraging consumers disposing of electrical items to
recycle rather than throwing them away in the bin. This will help to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill
sites and therefore encourages less hazardous materials to affect human health.
Wantthelook.com Recycling Policy
Wantthelook.com endeavours to recycle and minimise the impact of waste and hazardous materials on the environment
and upon landfill sites. By promoting the reuse, recycling and recovery of WEEE, we offer a take back service for
our customers who purchase like for like replacement items.
Products or packaging produced after August 2005 should display the following symbol (see below). The crossed out
wheeled bin symbol indicates that the product must NOT be disposed of in domestic/general waste but disposed of
through an approved WEEE take back scheme.
Any customer who purchases an electrical item from wantthelook.com can send us their "like for like"
product to dispose of via our Free Take Back scheme. We will dispose of your old product in an environmentally
friendly way.
To be legible for this scheme, please email us at
enquires@wantthelook.com stating your intention to return your
old product. Once you have received your new product, return your old item to:
